China furious over America’s latest controversial move

China is once again not happy with the United States – and it’s a sign that things are about to get a whole lot worse

China has again condemned the United States, labelling America as the region’s greatest security “risk creator.”

It comes after a U.S. warship again sailed through the sensitive waterway that separates Taiwan from China.

A US Navy ship conducted a “routine Taiwan Strait transit” on Tuesday in accordance with international law.

Chinese officials say their forces monitored the vessel throughout its passage and warned it.

“The U.S. side is intentionally playing the same old tricks and creating trouble and disrupting things in the Taiwan Strait,”

This “fully shows that the United States is the greatest creator of risks for regional security, and we are resolutely opposed to this”, China said.

But Taiwan’s Defence Ministry said the ship had sailed in a northerly direction through the strait and the “situation was as normal”.

The same ship transited the strait a month ago, prompting China to accuse the United States of threatening peace and stability.

The United States, like most countries, has no formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan, however, it is the most important international backer and a major seller of arms.

Military tension between Taiwan and Beijing has spiked over the past year, with Taipei complaining of China repeatedly sending its air force into Taiwan’s air defense zone.

US-Iran restart nuclear talks in Oman amid cautious optimism, while Trump considers military escalation and Israel demands stricter missile terms.

The United States and Iran have returned to the negotiating table in Oman, marking a fresh attempt to ease escalating nuclear tensions between the two long-time rivals. President Donald Trump described the talks as promising, suggesting momentum toward further discussions.

Iran’s Foreign Minister echoed cautious optimism, calling the meetings a positive first step while acknowledging deep-seated trust issues remain unresolved. At the heart of the talks is a major sticking point — the White House’s insistence that Iran dismantle its nuclear capability entirely.

Iran, however, maintains it has a sovereign right to enrich uranium, setting the stage for difficult negotiations ahead as both sides test whether diplomacy can hold.

PM Keir Starmer faces pressure over Epstein links and party unrest, with approval at 20% amid resignation calls.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is under intense political pressure as he risks becoming the first UK leader linked to the Epstein scandal. His approval rating has plummeted to just 20 percent, leaving him vulnerable to criticism from within Labour and raising fresh questions about his leadership.

The party has faced further turbulence following the resignation of Peter Mandelson, who stepped down amid revelations over his ambassadorial appointment and an ongoing police investigation. This latest development has intensified scrutiny on Labour’s senior figures and added to concerns about instability at the top.

Opposition from Labour lawmakers continues to grow, with increasing calls for Starmer to resign despite support from cabinet members. Many fear that a leadership challenge could deepen divisions within the party and create wider economic uncertainty.
