A child is the sixth person who was killed during the incident that injured at least 48 people after a car ploughed through the crowd in the US state of Wisconsin.

Officials have identified a man taken into custody, with sources saying that 39-year-old Darrell Edward Brooks Junior was the individual driving the red SUV.

Brooks appeared in court today… weeping as his cash bail was set at 5 million dollars.

The suspect has been charged with 5 counts of first-degree intentional homicide with a sixth homicide charged following the additional death confirmed today.

Police say Brooks was fleeing a domestic disturbance before he drove into the middle of the parade.
