ChatGPT update sees it pass U.S. Bar exam

The update has seen it go from the bottom ten per cent to the top ten per cent

Well, it seems artificial intelligence can outperform law graduates.

A new update has seen A.I. chatbot ChatGPT scoring 297 on the Bar exam.

It means the platform – which is backed by Microsoft – could be admitted to practice law in most U.S. states.

The exam tests performance and essays focussed on legal work, as well as some multiple choice questions.

The tool got 76 per cent on the multiple choice, which is up from 50 per cent in previous trials.
