Car has been seized in Sydney’s south by police investigating the 2014 disappearance of 3-year-old William Tyrrell

Authorities have confirmed a grey Mazda was taken from a home under a coronial order last Tuesday.

The forensic analysis is predicted to take several weeks.

There are reports that the seized car belonged to William’s foster grandmother at the time of his disappearance.

She has since died and the car was sold to a new owner.

Police began to investigate the yard of the home where William first went missing seven years ago probing whether he may have fallen from a balcony.

A cadaver dog and chemicals that detect traces of blood are being used by detectives.
