Car reverses into Japan’s oldest toilet

Japan’s oldest toilet has been destroyed, after a man drove his car into the Buddhist temple

It’s the man’s job to preserve Japan’s cultural heritage but he stood no chance when he failed to realise his car was in reverse.

The communal loo was ruined but luckily no-body was injured.

The driver called the police soon afterwards. He was visiting the temple on business when the incident occured.

The toilet’s door is understood to be 700 years old. But officials believe the damage can be fixed.
