Call for Taliban to end targeted killings

Published

on

The United States has joined a whole host of other nations who are calling for the Taliban to end targeted killings of former Afghan security personnel

In a joint statement, the countries demand that the militant group respects the pledge to not harm former government officials.

The statement says “we are deeply concerned by reports of summary killings and enforced disappearances”.

The joint statement has been published and signed by the US, UK, the EU, and a further 19 countries.
