BTS’ dynamite move – rallying against Asian hate crimes in the U.S.

K-Pop super group, BTS, has visited the White House to speak about anti-Asian hate crimes in the U.S.

K-Pop super group, BTS has paid a visit to the White House, in which they are “devastated by the recent surge of hate crimes”.

Asking for tolerance and acceptance, one of the group’s singers says “it’s not wrong to be different”.

They are urging people to open up and embrace all of our differences.

It follows the shooting of 6 Asian women last year, and rising anti-Asian hate in the U.S.

Attacks against people of Asian descent have escalated, as some politicians blame China for the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting was closed to media, but the White House says its purpose was to “discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion and BTS’ platform as youth ambassadors who spread a message of hope and positivity across the world”.

BTS is one of the biggest K-Pop groups to come out of South Korea, in an industry worth billions of dollars.
