British Airways has suspended flights to Hong Kong amid reports more of its crew members have been forced to quarantine in a government centre

British Airways has confirmed it has temporarily suspended flights with the airline stating they will “review operational requirements for this route”.

The South China Morning Post reported that one British Airways worker had tested positive for Covid-19, leading to most other crew members being sent to the government operated quarantine camp.

It follows a similar incident which took place the week before.

In that case, a BA crew member tested positive for the virus on 20 November. The employee and other crew, classed as “close contact”, were sent to Hong Kong’s Penny’s Bay quarantine centre.

A spokesman for Hong Kong’s Department of Health told the South China Morning Post that those crew members had since returned to the United Kingdom.

It comes amid concern over the new COVID-19 strain, Omicron – cases of which have been discovered in a number of places including Britain and Hong Kong.

British Airways stated that they are continuing to support crew who are currently isolating in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is pursuing a zero-Covid cases policy in order to open the border with mainland China.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.
