U.S. sets record with more than two million migrants taken into custody

According to a government report, the number of illegal migrant arrivals have hit an all-time high

Everyone from border agents to politicians to human rights activists have been sounding the alarm that there is a humanitarian crisis at America’s southern border.

Illegal migrant encounters at the southern border were at an all-time low during the Trump administration—with former President Donald Trump making it a campaign promise to have law and order.

However, under President Joe Biden’s leadership, he put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of securing America’s southern border—effectively dubbing her the “border czar.”

Recently, V.P. Harris continues to claim that the border is closed.

But, according to a government report, the number of migrant arrivals reported along the U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal year 2022 surpassed 2 million in August, hitting an all-time high.

On Tuesday at the White House President Biden was pressed repeatedly by journalists about the ongoing crisis

President Biden said it was “not rational” to send migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border back to nations like Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.

When a reporter asked Biden why the border is “more overwhelmed on your watch”—he responded, “There are fewer and fewer immigrants coming from Central America than from Mexico. It’s a totally different circumstance.”

Republicans are blaming Democratic leaders like V.P. Harris who was put in-charge of securing the border of ignoring this on-going crisis.
