Bankrupt Boris Becker will not appeal his sentence for hiding funds

Boris Becker will not appeal his jail sentence after hiding £2.5 million to avoid paying his debts after going bankrupt

The former tennis player and coach was sentenced to two-and-a-half years behind bars, last month.

He says he accepts the verdicts of the jury, and the sentence he received.

It comes after a judge blasted the tennis ace for his lack of remorse.

The father-of-four was convicted of flouting insolvency rules by hiding millions in cash, shares and property.

The three-time Wimbledon champion declared bankruptcy in 2017.

Becker maintains all the payments were “commitments to his children and other dependents”.
