Sydney is scrapping quarantine requirements and arrival caps for fully vaccinated arrivals from November 1st

The new rules will apply to the state of New South Wales, but will exclude unvaccinated arrivals, who will still need to enter hotel quarantine.

Vaccinated travellers will have to return a negative covid test before flying to be exempt from quarantine mandates.

The state’s premier Dominic Perrottet says he “will work closely with the Commonwealth to ensure protections are in place so we keep people safe as we rejoin the world”.

This comes as the states daily COVID cases have significantly reduced from the high thousands only weeks ago, to today recording only 399.
