The Australian Open has backflipped on a decision to ban spectators from wearing “Where is Peng Shuai” t-shirts

Organisers say wearing politically motivated clothing such as the “Where is Peng Shuai” t-shirt will now be aloud, as long as no disruption is made to the games.

The reversal of the ban comes after Tennis Australia copped international criticism, which was sparked after security denied two spectators entry into the games at the weekend.

Those spectators had been wearing T-shirts protesting against the Chinese Communist Party’s alleged mistreatment tennis star Peng Shuai.

The situation escalated very quickly with Police then called in.

Tennis Australia informed the media of the backflip, stating they will allow politically motivated clothing to be aloud as long as no disruption is made to the live games.
