Albanese expressed his anger and concern during a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier today.

“Zomi was an Australian aid worker volunteering with the World Central Kitchen to provide support to those suffering in Gaza. This tragic loss is completely unacceptable,” Albanese stated.

Netanyahu conveyed his condolences to Frankcom’s family and to Australia, accepting responsibility for the incident.

Albanese emphasised the importance of full accountability and transparency, urging a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the strike.

“I made clear that humanitarian assistance must reach people in Gaza unimpeded and in large quantities,” Albanese affirmed, reiterating Australia’s stance on the matter.
