For the next five years expect to see three new heavy-lift rockets at work in space

Thousands of satellites will be put into low earth orbit as part of Amazon’s Project Kuiper.

The rockets will help provide broadband connections using a constellation of over three thousand satellites.

Elon Musk’s Starlink is Amazon’s current rival and they’re said to have more than 2,300 satellites in orbit already.

The rockets will be made by Blue Origin, the company founded by Amazon owner Jeff Bezos

Amazon says Project Kuiper aims to provide high-speed broadband to customers including households, businesses, government agencies and disaster relief operations,.

The group also wants to help organisations “working in places without reliable internet connectivity”.

Like Elon Musk’s Starlink, users will connect to the internet via a terminal that communicates with the satellites.

Amazon says its experience in shipping and making products like Echo and Kindle will be useful in producing and distributing these.

Australia’s jobs report shapes rate forecasts, with cyclical assets favored amid market volatility and upcoming Supreme Court rulings on tariffs.

Australia’s latest jobs report is shaping market expectations and interest rate forecasts. Strong employment growth could boost confidence in the economy, while weaker data might prompt a rethink of monetary policy.

Investors are favouring cyclical assets over growth stocks, targeting sectors like industrials, materials, and energy. David Scutt from StoneX notes this reflects both caution amid market volatility and a bet on areas tied to economic cycles.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on Trump’s reciprocal tariffs could significantly impact markets, yet many are overlooking its potential effects on trade, commodity prices, and sector valuations. Investors should prepare for possible volatility and adjust strategies accordingly.
