World War I epic ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ has dominated at the BAFTAs taking home Best Film

The film went in with 14 nominations and left with a healthy seven.

It’s seven wins mean it has broken the BAFTA record for the most awards won by a film not in English.

Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley biopic was another big winner, taking home four prizes.

Cate Blanchett was named Best Actress for her performance in ‘Tar’, in which she played a disgraced orchestra conductor.

Dame Helen Mirren lead a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
