A new Harry Potter series has been confirmed and JK Rowling is at the helm

Good news Harry Potter fans – a TV series based on JK Rowling’s books has been confirmed.

Rowling will be an executive producer on the series and says she is committed to preserving the integrity of her work.

There will be a whole new cast for the upcoming series and each season will be devoted to one book with plans for it to unfold over a decade.

Rowling has stirred controversy in recent years for comments labeled as transphobic.

The CEO of HBO and Max content, Casey Bloys, refused to comment on how Rowling’s involvement might impact the production if people are reluctant to work with her.

It’s part of Warner Bros Discovery’s plans for a new streaming platform called Max.

This will combine HBO Max with programming from Discovery.

And it doesn’t stop there.

A new Game of Thrones prequel is also planned, with author George R.R. Martin as EP, it will be called ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’.
