A book ban in this U.S. state?

A U.S. Judge is dismissing a case that could have led to a book ban in Virginia

The books in questions are ‘Gender Queer: A Memoir’ and ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’.

The Judge found the books did not make obscene references, and that the entire law itself was unconstitutional.

The dispute was raised by Republican State Delegates under a law that allows anyone to launch obscenity proceedings in the state.

They believe the books are not appropriate for younger readers.

But the Judge found the law violates the U.S.’ first amendment.
