Has Reddit been hacked?

We’ve seen the rise of bad actors engaging in digital ransom attacks around the world.

Now, hackers are threatening to release confidential data stolen from Reddit, unless the company pays a ransom.

 
Hackers say they want $4.5 million in exchange for deleting stolen data as well as Reddit to withdraw its API pricing changes.

A Reddit spokesperson declined to comment on the situation and didn’t share any additional details about the attack or who is behind it.
