Former President Donald Trump returns to Washington, D.C.

Trump arrived back in the nation’s capital to deliver the keynote address at the America First Policy Institute’s two-day America First Agenda Summit.

After leaving the White House 18 months ago, former President Donald Trump returned to Washington, DC, on Tuesday.

Trump arrived back in the nation’s capital to deliver the keynote address at the America First Policy Institute’s two-day America First Agenda Summit.

The 45th president hasn’t been seen in Washington since he left office on Jan. 20, 2021 — even snubbing President Biden’s inauguration on his way out of the city. The event marks Trump’s first visit back to the capitol.

The 45th President of the United States used his speech to focus on public safety. He highlighted recent violent crime statistics throughout the country. He laid out the serious problems the country continues to face under the Biden administration talking about horrific crime, red-hot inflation, and the expensive liberal spending agenda that is stalled in Congress. Trump also focused on his vision for the future.

Trump has steadily held rallies across the nation in which he focuses on timely issues as well as his grievances over the 2020 election results.

Trump’s address was held just hours after Mike Pence — his vice president and potential 2024 rival — urged Republicans to stop looking backward at the 44th National Conservative Student Conference.

Neither Trump nor Pence has publicly confirmed a run for president in 2024 — but their back-to-back events in Washington has sparked speculation of a potential showdown between the former White House team.
