Ukraine has launched a temporary digital document, for the period of wartime

In case of loss of documents due to destruction from war, people can now get temporary ones in the application.

The new service is called “e-Document” and will contain passport data.

Air raid alerts

Meanwhile, Android users in Ukraine will get air raid alerts directly on their phones before expected attacks happen near them.

Google is working with the Ukrainian Government to roll out the system for Android phones.

In a statement, the tech company says “millions of people in Ukraine now rely on air strike alerts to get to safety.”

The Android pings will be based on the alerts already being sent by the government.

It’s adapted from a system built for quickly sending warnings about other disasters like earthquakes or tsunamis.

The new alerts system begins rolling out today and will ramp up to all Android phones in the coming days.

It comes a week after Google suspended ad sales in Russia amid the ongoing violence.
