Kenya is introducing new restrictions for the unvaccinated

Bars, restaurants and public transport will be made unavailable to those who aren’t fully vaccinated against COVID-19 from December 21.

The government hopes that this move will influence more people to get the jab as only 10% of the population are currently protected against the virus.

Over 20 million Kenyans will have only a month to get vaccinated or face lockdown conditions.

The Health Minister says a 10-day vaccination campaign will begin from November 26 and aims to vaccinate 10 million people by the end of the year.

Most African countries are facing vaccine shortages but Kenya is confident that they have enough stock to vaccinate its population.
