Zelensky warns EU leaders ‘this might be the last time you see me alive’

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said goodbye to European leaders, telling them that “this might be the last time you see me alive”.

It came as Russian media reported Zelensky had fled Ukraine.

The 44-year-old leader made the chilling warning in a video call with EU leaders, just before he publicly stated he was Russia’s “target number one”

Despite his reported warning, Mr Zelensky made a defiant video hours later Friday, appearing with four key cabinet members in the darkened streets of Kyiv.

Explosions in Ukraine

Multiple explosions have been heard in Kyiv, where air raid sirens are currently blaring throughout the capital.

Residents say there were between three and five large blasts in the vicinity of the Ukrainian capital. The air raid sirens were heard on news channels.

As the sirens and explosions sounded in Kyiv, local Pryamyy TV interrupted programming with the message: “We will be back after the air raid warning is over.” See the screenshot below.

Explosions have also reportedly been heard in Donetsk, the breakaway region in eastern Ukrainian.

Verified video appears to show fighting in the southern Ukrainian city of Melitopol.

Reports say the footage shows the cancer treatment department of a hospital being hit by an explosive.

Though the embedded tweet below blames “the occupiers”, it is not confirmed who fired the weapon.

Airbus faces manufacturing issues with A320 fuselage panels, impacting shares but confirming safety for in-service aircraft.

Airbus is confronting a fresh manufacturing issue after discovering a quality defect in several dozen fuselage panels used on A320-family jets. The revelation sparked investor concern, with shares falling by up to 10% as the news broke.

While the newly identified flaw has caused some delivery delays, Airbus confirms that aircraft already in service are safe and unaffected. The defect is limited to a specific batch of panels, and all new production now meets required standards.

The company has apologised for the disruption and says it is working closely with suppliers to prevent a repeat of the issue.

Bitcoin drops over 7% to $84,555, its lowest in a week, amid waning investor confidence and bearish market pressures.

Bitcoin has suffered a sharp decline, falling more than 7% and slipping to $84,555 — its lowest point in over a week. After a brutal November where BTC shed more than $18,000, its biggest dollar drop since mid-2021, investor confidence is wavering. Analysts say multiple pressures, including negative ratings for major stablecoins, are amplifying bearish sentiment across the market.
