World’s largest plane-maker puts a brake on production

Disruption in the global supply chain put a brake on Airbus profits

The plane maker is trimming its delivery target and slowing a planned increase in factory production

Airbus lowered its 2022 delivery goal to 7-hundred jets from 720.

It added that 65 narrowbody jets a month can happen in early 2024 instead of summer 2023.

The move comes after the world’s largest planemaker recorded flat deliveries for the first half.

Delayed engine deliveries, parts shortages and problems in hiring back staff to aerospace after lay-offs during the pandemic are to blame.
