A woman has been arrested Afghanistan after accusing Taliban officials of rape
A video has been posted to social media, where the woman says she was allegedly beaten and raped by the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry.
It’s understood the woman tried to flee the country but has been arrested.
The woman is believed to be the daughter of an intelligence service general under the former government.
Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan last year, women have faced an increase in forced marriages and human rights violations.
