U.S. President Joe Biden is announcing a series of steps to address a nationwide teacher shortage

The Administration is partnering with job search companies to help fill a backlog of positions.

Of course, the pandemic has forced many schools to shift to online learning, and is leading to staff shortages in some parts of the U.S.

As part of the overall into the sector, lawmakers are writing to their state counterparts, asking for higher wages and better training programs.

Here’s the U.S. Education Secretary discussing some of the options on the table.
