Actor, Will Smith has won the Oscar for Best Actor, shortly after slapping presenter Chris Rock on the stage

In unbelievable scenes, actor Will Smith stormed the stage of the 2022 Oscars and slapped presenter Chris Rock across the face after the comedian mocked Smith’s wife’s hair.

Smith won Best Actor for King Richard, and took the moment to apologies for slapping Rock just moments earlier.

Earlier, Chris Rock appeared to have made Will Smith quite upset, after Rock stated on the stage that he “couldn’t wait” to see the sequel of G.I Jane, appearing to mock Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, the camera panned to the Red Table Talk host rolling her eyes and glancing sideways at Smith.

Smith got up and marched up to Rock, slapping him, before returning to his seat and yelling, “KEEP MY WIFE’S NAME OUT YOUR F**KING MOUTH” repeatedly as the crowd sat stunned and Rock was left speechless.

Eventually, Rock uttered that the altercation was one of the most “craziest things” to ever happen on live TV.
