When Australian parliament avoided a malicious cyber attack
A Malicious actor’ attempted a cyber attack on Australian parliament in late march.
As reported by The Australian, the hack locked MP’s and staffers out of emails on their mobile phones for more than a week.
Senate president Scott Ryan confirming the actor tried to access the Department of Parliamentary Services using brute force.
The hack was unsuccessful and appropriate processes were put in place.
This comes amid threats the DPS remains a constant threat. with sophisticated attacks.
