Washington and Beijing’s top dogs are set to meet in Bali this week as the Group of 20 foreign ministers’ meeting kicks off

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will speak privately, on the sidelines of the G-20.

The two nations are looking at how they can continue to move forward while ‘responsibly’ managing the ongoing rivalry that exists between Beijing and the West.

The meeting comes at a crucial time, with tensions soaring on a number of fronts.

China’s foreign ministry spokespersons says the diplomats will exchange views on the current state of U.S.-China relations, and other major international and regional issues.

Blinken is expected to touch on the climate crisis, global health and stemming the flow of narcotics.
