Warner Bros. files lawsuit against Paramount over South Park

Published

Warner Bros. has filed a major $740 million lawsuit against Paramount over South Park, but it has nothing to do with offending people on-screen

Warner Bros. claims the media company breached its contract with HBO Max by airing South Park on its own streaming platform, Paramount+.

HBO Max is a unit of Warner Bros. Discovery, which also owns CNN.

The lawsuit also claims a separate $1.3 billion deal between MTV, a subsidiary of Paramount, and South Park creators, broke the terms of the contract in August 2021.

Paramount has denied Warner Bros’ claims and accused Warner Bros of failing to pay fees it owes under the agreement.

This follows a controversial episode just realise where ex-royals Meghan and Harry were heavily mocked in the show titled ‘The Worldwide Privacy Tour’.

Since its airing, Meghan was reportedly left “upset and overwhelmed” over the depiction of herself and husband.

According to a new survey after the episode aired, Harry’s approval rating in the United States is now at -10, with Markle’s at -17.

The disgraced Prince Andrew’s rating is only -2.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.
