It’s the battle of the streaming giants as it becomes time for many to report their subscriber growth

Just as Netflix recorded a slump in users weeks ago, it’s been the opposite for Disney.

The Walt Disney Company has reported another jump in sign-ups for its streaming services.

More than 9 million people subscribed to the firm’s online video platforms in the first three months of the year most of them to its flagship Disney+.

There’s also good news for the company’s entertainment parks with attendance also up.

Disney’s performance was under scrutiny after Netflix reported a fall in subscribers last month.

Netflix which was one of the first to enter the streaming space has been having a harder time signing up new members amid the cost of living.

As for Disney, the company has poured investment into its streaming services referring to them as key to the future of its business.
