Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky has called on E.U. leaders to provide fighter jets and arms for the war against Russia
Zelensky made the remarks at a sitting of the European Parliament in Brussels.
He also pledged that Ukraine is striving to becoming a member of the E.U.
“For each of the 27 E.U. countries there is a danger,” Zelensky said. “The danger is that there is a dictator with huge stockpiles of Soviet weapons.”
“It is the first time that the European Union is providing military aid of such scale.”
“While we are fighting, we are upgrading our institutions.”
“We are moving closer to the European Union.”
