A team of UN nuclear experts have arrived at a power plant in Ukraine for inspection

The team made the risky journey to the Zaporizhzhia plant as Russian shelling bombarded nearby towns.

The Russian-controlled site is Europe’s largest power plant. But it’s believed to be used as a military base by Russian forces.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office says Russia was trying to ruin the mission with increased shelling.

But Russian forces deny these claims, saying 60 Ukrainian soldiers were killed for trying to recapture the plant.

The UN team wants to talk to some of the Ukrainian workers who are under Russian control.

But there are some concerns that workers will not be as open as the would like because of risks to their own safety.

It’s understood that up to 12 inspectors could be staying at the plant.
