Ukraine’s army says its fighters have successfully defended their positions in the eastern cities of Sievierodonetsk and Toshkivka

It’s believed the Russian army continues to use mortars, artillery and “Multiple Launch Rocket Systems” to shell several key cities in the country’s east.

It come as the U.S. looks set to deliver further military aid to Ukraine.

Ukraine says without more weapons it will be almost impossible to halt Russia’s increasing stronghold of the area.

Western leaders met to discuss the best steps forward when it comes to supporting the war-torn country.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has chimed in on the unfolding crisis. He says Europe has blood on its hands.

Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister says the nation has received 10 per cent of the weapons pledged by the West.

Ukraine is trying to evacuate civilians from the eastern part of the country. Meanwhile, President Zelensky is describing the defence of Donbas as “vital”.

He believes the battle for the eastern region will determine the course of the war.
