It’s a scandal that isn’t going away, the illegal gatherings held on Downing Street during the country’s strict lockdowns

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing renewed anger from MPs in the first sitting of the House of Commons for his involvement in the gatherings.

The Pm once again apologised for breaking lockdown laws, facing renewed calls to resign.

It’s the PM’s his first address to Parliament since he was fined by police for attending at least one illegal gathering held at Downing Street during nation’s strict lockdown period.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has labelled Johnson’s apology “a joke” and says Johnson is insulting the public.
