Trump urges Europe to halt Russian oil purchases, linking revenues to Moscow’s war in Ukraine during a multination meeting.
President Donald Trump has called on European leaders to end their purchases of Russian oil, arguing that the revenues are fuelling Moscow’s ongoing war in Ukraine.
The appeal came during a virtual meeting in Paris involving more than 30 nations, with leaders focused on security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a future peace deal.
French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer co-hosted the discussions, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attending in person.
