In Short:
– Trump stated U.S. military presence near Iran will continue until Tehran complies with the agreement.
– Iran argues that the nuclear agreement allows them to enrich uranium despite U.S. claims.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that military presence near Iran will remain unless Tehran fully complies with an existing agreement. He warned that if compliance is not met, the U.S. would “start shooting” again, citing an increase in military readiness.Banner

Military tensions rise

Trump emphasized that U.S. ships, aircraft, and personnel would be equipped with additional arms while stationed around Iran. Iran responded by stating that discussing a permanent peace deal would be unreasonable following increased violence in Lebanon, where Israel launched significant strikes.

There appears to be a considerable gap between U.S. and Iranian positions on nuclear issues. Trump claimed Iran had committed to halting uranium enrichment. In contrast, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammed Bager Qalibaf asserted that the agreement permitted them to continue enrichment activities.

Trump reiterated that the previous understanding ruled out nuclear weapons and ensured the safety of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite diplomatic efforts, both nations seem to be entrenched in their respective stances.
