Trump: ‘hell to pay’ if remaining Israeli hostages aren’t released

‘There will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East’ if Hamas does not release hostages, Trump warns.

In a striking shift from the outgoing Biden administration’s diplomatic tone, President-elect Donald Trump is making waves with tough rhetoric against Hamas over their continued holding of hostages in Gaza.

On Truth Social, Trump warned, “If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East.”

This comes as over 100 hostages, including seven Americans, remain captive more than a year after the war between Israel and Hamas began.

Trump’s language, including threats of unprecedented retaliation, marks a sharp contrast to President Biden’s measured “don’t” doctrine aimed at deterring attacks on U.S. allies in the region.
