Alex Jones and Roger Stone are among the 5 people who received the subpoenas for their connection to the rally that was held just before the pro-Trump mob stormed the building.

Roger Stone was a longtime adviser to the former president while Alex Jones is a well-known conspiracy theorist.

The January 6 committee is requesting that the allies surrender records and testimony targeting people who assisted in organising the rallies before and after the election and those who were involved in arranging the advertising campaign.

The committee’s chair says they “believe the witnesses we subpoenaed today have relevant information and we expect them to cooperate fully with our effort to get answers for the American people about the violence of January 6th”.
