In Australia, Her Majesty has left a mystery for the people hidden inside a time capsule

The longest-serving Monarch has left a secret letter in Sydney’s Queen Victoria building, hidden inside a time capsule.

To this day, no one knows what the letter says and it will stay that way until 2085.

The instructions read “on a suitable day to be selected in the year 2085, would you please open this envelope and convey to the citizens of Sydney my message to them.”

The mystery letter is over 60 years old and was written by Her Majesty to celebrate her great grandmother’s Diamond Jubilee, in 1986.

The Queen Victoria Building was nearly destroyed, before an attempt to restore the sight was successful.

After the restoration was completed, the Queen decided to leave the mystery letter, hidden away inside.
