Elon Musk is undertaking a new tunnelling venture with a company proposing an underground transit system to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
It’s the latest city to become be swept up in the billionaire’s “Tesla in a tunnel” idea.
It’s not a done deal, but Fort Lauderdale Mayor is calling it “an innovative and unprecedented approach to addressing traffic congestion and transit needs.”
The project would connect Fort Lauderdale’s downtown to the beach.
There is currently a test tunnel in LA and two underneath the Las Vegas Convention Center — but they’re yet to be proven as functional
