Middle East on edge amid high-stakes confrontation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel’s recent airstrikes dealt a “precise and powerful” blow to Iran’s defences and missile capabilities.

Netanyahu stated the strikes hit strategic locations throughout Iran, severely disrupting its defence production.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded, hinting that Iran is weighing its next move carefully.

The airstrikes come amid fierce warfare in Gaza and intense clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon.

An Israeli strike on a residential building in Sidon, Lebanon, killed eight people on Sunday, as fighting in the region rages on.

Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, Israel’s army chief, emphasized that the strikes showcased Israel’s readiness to defend against any threats.

Despite the escalating conflict, there is no immediate sign of further escalation with Iran.

The U.N. Security Council is expected to address the situation on Monday as tensions between Israel and Iran continue.
