In a flurry of high-stakes outreach, top tech executives are reaching out to Donald Trump as the election nears.

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently connected with Trump to discuss Apple’s ongoing legal disputes in Europe.

Trump shared the details in an interview Thursday, adding that Google CEO Sundar Pichai also reached out, impressed by the campaign’s energy.

Trump told a crowd in Las Vegas that Pichai called his recent stop at a McDonald’s “one of the hottest things” he’d seen.

Recounting the story on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Trump hinted at the mutual admiration in his chats with tech leaders.

Apple and Google face mounting challenges in Europe, where they’ve been hit with multibillion-dollar penalties for tax-related issues.

In a last-minute sprint, tech CEOs are finding ways to engage with the candidate.
