Suspected Michigan State University gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound

At least three people have died after a mass shooting at Michigan State University in the U.S.

Reports suggest the man behind the attack died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds when authorities cornered him.

The suspect was at-large for quite some time, promoting shelter-in-place orders for those students still on campus.

All classes and campus-related activities at MSU have been cancelled for 48 hours as investigations continue.

Police reported shots fired near Berkey Hall on the East Lansing campus at around 8.30pm local time, telling the campus community in a tweet to “secure-in-place immediately.”
