The U.S. deployed supersonic bombers and fighter jets in response to recent missile tests carried out by North Korea

The U.S. has scrambled B-1B bombers to conduct joint aerial drills following North Korea’s recent intercontinental ballistic missile launch.

Other U.S. warplanes and jets from South Korea and Japan also took part in the drills.

The U.S. and its close allies have condemned Pyongyang’s attempts to destabilise the region amid growing tensions.

Some reports suggest North Korea is seeking to strengthen its nuclear program and military advancements.

The nation also test-launched an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching anywhere on the U.S. mainland last week.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly watched the test with his daughter.

Friday’s launch was part of the North’s ongoing barrage of missile tests, which are seen as an attempt to expand its weapons arsenal.
