Streaming service is releasing a Covid content advisory tab to accompany its podcasts and other content that mentions coronavirus

The feature was initially considered following controversy surrounding “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast which was boycotted by a number of creatives for spreading vaccine misinformation.

These accusations have been backed up by medical professionals who are blaming Joe Rogan for spreading conspiracy theories about the virus.

Soon, a small blue tab will appear alongside covid-19 content which will direct users to Spotify’s COVID-19 information hub.

The streaming service faced backlash for hosting Rogan’s episodes, signing an exclusive deal with the American Commentator worth around $200 million.

The podcaster supports Spotify’s decision to provide listeners with public health resources but backed his broadcasting of controversial interviewees.
