Under the rules, heating should not exceed 19°C and air conditioning should not be set below 27°C.

The orders will come into effect in a week. The changes apply to public spaces like airports, train stations, theatres, cinemas and shopping centres.

Tenants are also encouraged to keep their doors closed to keep the temperature stable.

Buildings will also need to show signs that explain the measures to customers and guests.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.
