SpaceX and NASA have launched a crew of astronauts to the International Space Station

SpaceX has launched the individuals to the ISS is an historic moment for space travel.

Not only was it the first time that a commercial company has sent humans to space, but it was also a truly international affair.

The crew members hail from all over the world, including the U.S., Japan and Russia, with the mission moving forward despite rising geopolitical tensions on the ground.

The launch is also a major milestone for SpaceX and its founder, Elon Musk, who has long dreamed of sending humans to space.

After reaching orbit, NASA shared footage of the crew aboard the space craft as they began their final journey to the Space Station.

The four astronauts will now spend the next six months carrying out research and experiments.
