Shanghai Disneyland reopens after COVID-19 lockdown

Visitors to Shanghai Disneyland have been allowed to leave, after an infected COVID-19 person was traced to the theme park.

Patrons were barred from leaving the facility, locked in, until they had tested negative for the virus.

This is due to China’s strong approach towards COVID zero.

Authorities have also asked anyone who has visited Disneyland since October 27 to get tests for three consecutive days, and to maintain social distancing.

A similar situation also occurred a year ago, in which Disney’s resorts and parks were closed in Shanghai.
