SALMAN RUSHDIE – It has been revealed author Rushdie has lost vision in one eye and the use of one hand.

This is following his stabbing assault in New York in August, according to his agent Andrew Wylie.

Rushdie has been in hiding since the attack at an event in New York state, as he looks to heal from his wounds.

The man charged over the attack, U.S.-born Hadi Matar, has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.

Rushdie has long faced death threats for his 1988 novel ‘The Satanic Verses’.

Some Muslims regard the book as blasphemous.
