Money Ryanair, British Airways under investigation Published 3 years ago on June 10, 2021 By Anthony Lucas A UK watchdog is investigating British Airways and Ryanair over their refund policies The watchdog says the airlines may have broken consumer law in not offering refunds to customers who couldn’t legally take flights due to COVID-19 lockdowns. The Competition and Markets Authority says the airlines’ stance could have left customers out of pocket. “Customers booked these flights in good faith and were legally unable to take them due to circumstances entirely outside of their control. We believe these people should have been offered their money back.”– The Competition and Markets Authority says. The airlines offered other options such as travel credits and vouchers but both refused refunds. British Airways claims it had acted lawfully and Ryanair says it had refunded customers in justified cases. Related Topics:trending Leave a ReplyYour email address will not be published.
